Opportunity

Redefining the Smart Home

Google Nest is an award-winning smart home device ecosystem to create communal and helpful experiences within the home. In the last year, the home has evolved into something more, becoming our work offices, our place for escape, and the hub for making connections.

Collaborating with Athena Lai, we set out to redefine Nest's smart display product line to capture the needs of the post-pandemic home through thoughtfully crafted user experiences and hardware.

Designed with privacy in mind. The Nest Hub Tab has a privacy switch for both its tablet and speaker dock. Block your camera with the tablet switch and microphone with the dock switch.

Adapts to your family. The Nest Hub Tab can magnetically detach into a standalone tablet, bringing more freedom and flexibility. The Hub dock wirelessly charges the Nest Hub Tab. When detached, the base can be used as a powerful media speaker and smart assistant.
